The world through Liam's eyes

This sums up Liam pretty well in one picture. The river trail was flooded at the park. Instead of going around he insisted on stripping down to his seasame street undies, taking off his shoes and scootering through.Brady's mom let Liam take a bunch of pictures with her camera while she was here. We decided to let him use our old one and he absolutely loves taking pictures of his favorite things. Here is a collection of a few things that caught his eye:

This picture is exactly the reason why he does not get free reign on either the camera nor his baby sister :)

First Day on the Job

Brady's mom Leisa left on Monday and all the moms are gone. Sad day. It was so nice to have them here to celebrate Elsie with us.

To quote Liam :"I wike it better when nana and gwam-ma are here." Amen to that! Recovery has been so much easier with this baby, a large part of it being due to the fact I've had 'mom help' around the house and been able to take it easy and steal a few extra naps.

Our little angel

There is nothing as soothing as holding a quiet new born baby. Brady's mom Leisa is here helping and took these magnificent photos that capture the peace that Elsie has brought into our home.

Elsie's Baby Blessing

Elsie was blessed today. It was a very sweet, special experience. The room was filled with love. She looked like an angel in her blessing dress. It was given to her by her great grandma Hazel and was a reminder to all of us present of grandma Hazel's sweet spirit.

Happy Mother's Day

We have had a blissfully wonderful week. It has been absolutely wonderful to have our mothers around and to bring our baby girl into the world. There is no one like mom to make you feel comforted, loved, and taken care of. Thanks moms!

Happy Birthday Liam!

Liam savored every minute of his 3 year old Birthday. We'll post some more commentary later.

Liam licking the frosting off the race cars he put on his race car track cake. He decorated the cake himself with the sprinkles and race cars.

Liam and Papa went to the scooter park to race
Liam asked for Lightening McQueen toys and absolutely loved racing his cars

We went to Sweetie Pie Bakery for breakfast- Yum!

He took this picture himself with Nanas camera. It's of his new "Avatar Jake" who died fighting the race cars.

Corn Fields of Michigan
Liam wanted to get measured on his Birthday. He grew a half inch in 3 weeks.

We're Home: Day 3

It felt really good to load up our family of four at about 5pm and head home. Here's a peek at the day...

Mom and Elsie (or Rainey, if you ask Liam) waking up and enjoying the morning.

Elsie's personal suntanning booth. She was a little jaundiced but it cleared up faster than the docs thought it would.

Liam's new buddy.

Our great friends the Forsyths called us in the morning and told us that Benson had joined the party literally right next door to us. Awesome.

Elsie says she's had enough of the hospital...

Luckily it was finally time to go!

Good thing she's a perfect fit...
