Our weekend and our July 4th was stellar. The fireworks were spectacular. I've always wanted to see Josh Groban. We found out today that he was going to be in D.C., what a lucky duck. Good times are rollin' in.

Brady's Birthday! Happy 28th
As a kid Brady used to love cowboys, indians, and the Civil War. Now he's a 28 year old kid. The cake toppers are Civil War playmobil he had from when he was little. Going full circle. Happy Birthday to a wonderful man!
Gettysburg Anniversary Civil War Reenactment
A terribly fascinating, engaging day. I wondered if some of these reenactors have been doing this so long that they really believe they Civil War generals. All the union and Confederate actors come with their own civil war relics, clothes, guns, ammo, and knowledge of their characters. Many of them were on the movies "Gettysburg" or "Gods and Generals." During the reenactments they sleep in tents and camps that replicate real Civil war conditions.We loved watching the highly orchestrated, large-scale battles- the saber fighting on horseback, booming cannons, guys pretending to be infantry casualties laying on the field.
